The Melex Golf Cart
Is Back In A Big Fashion

The Melex golf cart company first started building carts in 1971 in Poland. It began in a small town called Mielec, which is located in the south-eastern region of the country and inhabited by approximately 61,000 people.

The first of their carts was a model that was a copy of an E-Z-Go model which of course was US made.

Melex made two models initially one a three wheeler and the second a four. They were named the 102 and the 202 respectively. They continued to build these two until 1974.

In 1975 they brought on the 112 and 212 which were also 3 and 4 wheel models respectively.

1985 brought the introduction of two carts in the 152 and the 252 which offered all metal bodies. The same year an all plastic model was brought to market in the 412.

The Melex company's claim to fame was the introduction of the first solid state motor speed controller which was available in their full lineup for the 1986 model year.

By the year 2000 the company had been bought out by a distributor called Nagy Golf & Turf in Mesa, Arizona.
